Prairie dogs are rodents that, as the name suggests, live on the prairie. The animal is found in North America. Like many other rodents, they are reasonably small, the size of a rabbit. They live in social groups, and the picture shows an individual nibbling on a patch of grass. They do this very nicely with both paws. They do this sitting down, probably to keep a good overview, but it also looks very nice. For this portrait, I sat low to the ground to get a good view of the priairie dog. This gives you the feeling of being in his world. Given the funny nature of these animals, I also waited for a nice pose.
