An autumnal forest stream – cascades in the Zadnjica Valley

by Rolf Schnepp

An idyllic forest stream winds its way through the autumnal landscape of the Zadnjica Valley in Slovenia. The clear water plunges down the valley in small cascades over moss-covered rocks, whilst the surrounding trees glow with their vibrant autumn foliage in warm shades of yellow and orange. The combination of dark forest green, golden leaves and the bright, flowing water lends this nature photograph a special atmosphere.

A small bridge in the background blends harmoniously into the unspoilt landscape and serves as an attractive focal point. The long exposure captures the movement of the water without completely blurring its natural texture. This creates a balanced interplay of dynamism and tranquillity.

The Zadnjica Valley lies within the Triglav National Park in the Julian Alps and is one of Slovenia’s most impressive natural landscapes. Away from the heavily frequented tourist destinations, this area reveals a quiet, unspoilt side of the Slovenian mountains.

This autumnal landscape is ideal as wall art for living spaces, holiday homes or establishments with a nature-inspired design. An atmospheric motif for lovers of woodland landscapes, waterfalls, mountain streams and authentic nature photography.
