Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master of the Italian Air Force.
The Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master is a military twin-engine jet trainer and light fighter aircraft.
Originally, the aircraft was developed in cooperation with Russia's Yakovlev as the Yak/AEM-130. In 2000, the cooperation was dissolved and the then Alenia Aermacchi continued separate development of the M-346 Master, while Yakolev continued work on the Yakovlev Yak-130.
The first flight of the M-346 was conducted in 2004. The type is currently operated by the air forces of Italy, Israel, Singapore and Poland.
Since 2016, the manufacturer has been called Leonardo-Finmeccanica when Alenia Aermacchi merged into the new Finmeccanica, which was finally renamed Leonardo in 2017.
