About the artwork

Vesuvius is a volcano on the west coast of Italy southeast of Naples. The name "Vesuvius" comes from the Oskian "fesf", meaning smoke. The volcano is located in the plain of Campania, has a diameter of eight kilometers and is 1281 meters high.

On this site the volcano spits its fire in the dark which gives a beautiful spectacle of light in the dark.

Albert Bierstadt (Solingen [a kreisfreie Stadt in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia], January 7, 1830 - New York, February 18, 1902) was a German-American painter who became famous for his lavish landscape paintings of the American West.
Bierstadt was a member of the Hudson River School, an informal group of like-minded Romantic-inspired painters. They produced carefully painted landscapes with an eye for detail, provided with romantic glowing light. The painting style that is characterized by this is called luminism. An artist of the American West, Bierstadt can also be seen as a member of the Rocky Mountain School.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
