Ages in Transition: Old Railway Bridge and New Bridge at Sunset in Deventer by Bart Ros

Experience the mesmerising fusion of past and present in this artwork, where I captured Deventer's old railway bridge during a breathtaking sunset, with the contours of the new bridge in the background.

This image captures a rare moment when the sun's last rays shroud the old railway bridge in a golden glow, while the new bridge in the background symbolises a promise of modern progress and connection. The sunset, with its spectacular play of colours, serves as a metaphor for change and continuity, with the old and new structures together telling a poetic story of time and technology.

As a photographer with a passion for capturing architectural beauty and urban transformations, I find it fascinating to see how these two bridges - each from a different era - coexist and shape Deventer's landscape together. This image is not only a visual spectacle, but also a reflection on the constant evolution of our cities.
