The pollen-covered beetle in the nadir of this cactus flower, turns a - basically - still life into a dynamic image. The crisp, soft pink colors of the already faded flowers contrast beautifully with the brittle yellow of the remaining flower. The photo is deliberately cropped square so that the individual elements are shown off to their best advantage. This nature image suits both a modern interior, as well as a more rustic living environment.
The photo was taken in September 2022 in southern France.
