About the artwork
This abstract artwork shows a spherical organism. A spherical structure with sharp protrusions. A sphere that is not symmetrical, but whimsical in shape. The twisted shapes and lines of this organism have a beginning and an end somewhere. How these shapes and lines run is not entirely clear, the spherical creature has a chaotic structure and shape.
This particular spherical structure seems to give off light. In several places, the surface of the sphere seems somewhat transparent and a golden light can be seen through this.
This organism is fascinating and intriguing. Your imagination is put to work and you wonder what you are looking at. It holds your attention and perhaps challenges you to study this little creature up close.
What is happening here you wonder. Is this organism floating through space or moving through water? Is it spinning around or hanging still? And what is that circle in the background? Is it a tunnel into which the sphere disappears or does the sphere emerge from the tunnel?
I find creating imaginative works of art that excite and intrigue you particularly fun and challenging to do!
This artwork has as its basis several photos, taken by myself, of ordinary objects from everyday life. Digitally, I merged and edited these photos into a colourful and magical work of art.
