Abstract liquid colors: Purple, blue, turquoise, green with lines by Marjolijn van den Berg

"Abstract fluid colours: Purple, blue, turquoise, green with lines" is a cheerful abstract piece featuring cool colours in various mediums (including acrylic paint) that "flow" across the canvas (abstract).
A photograph of a small section of the painting has been taken and edited. The most commonly used colours in this work are cool colours such as blue, purple, green and black.
The colours run alongside, through and around each other.
In this work, a pattern has emerged of dark lines with blue in the middle and round "cells" at the sides.
This work is actually a combination of painting and photography. I didn’t ‘paint’ this to create a painting, but experimented with the paint to take a photograph. A different approach to that of a ‘traditional’ painter. I enjoy experimenting for photography. For instance, I experiment a lot with smoke, water and reflections. And, as you can see here, with different types of paint and liquids. This colourful piece would look wonderful as wall art in a waiting room, bedroom, study or, of course, simply above the sofa!
