Abstract explosion of colour in blue and orange – Hans Sturris by Galerie Ringoot

In this expressive abstract painting by Hans Sturris, bold patches of colour and loose brushstrokes move across a light, almost white background. Bright blue and turquoise dominate the composition, complemented by warm accents of orange, red and yellow. Black, grey and earthy tones provide contrast and lend the work extra depth and rhythm.

The colours seem to fan out across the canvas from the right-hand side. Some shapes are reminiscent of flowers, figures or a landscape, but are deliberately left open to personal interpretation. It is precisely this combination of recognition and imagination that makes this artwork so captivating: every viewer can discover something different in it.
Striking is the balance between the vibrant, densely painted sections and the calm, light space. As a result, the composition appears energetic without becoming heavy or overwhelming. The visible brushstrokes and spontaneous touches of colour give the work a free and dynamic feel.

This colourful abstract art fits perfectly into a modern, industrial or Scandinavian interior. The shades of blue bring a sense of freshness and tranquillity, whilst the warm colour accents add vibrancy. As a large wall decoration, the piece makes a striking focal point in the living room, dining room, study or a business space.

The original painting was created by the Dutch artist Hans Sturris and is signed and dated ‘11’ in the bottom left-hand corner. An expressive work of art for lovers of colourful abstraction, bold brushstrokes and modern art, offering plenty of scope for the viewer’s own imagination.
