This colourful, playful picture is a really fun project :).
It started with sadness. As a countermeasure, I used strong, bright colours on the paper. A little colouring therapy, so to speak.
Then one thing led to another. Element after element appeared in the picture. First the irregular strokes - up and across. Then the ornaments and flowers. The little blossoms on the branches. And finally the three turquoise-blue birds.
The picture became more and more cheerful. And so did I :).
Maybe it will put you in a good mood whenever you look at it.
I painted the picture with watercolours and white gouache paint on cotton paper.
Colours: pink, dark red, yellow-green, yellow, turquoise, gold and white
