Abstract: Play of Lines: Lommel Bosland Lookout Tower

by Kristof Leffelaer

Discover the fascinating architecture of the Lommel Sahara with this unique image of the famous observation tower in Bosland National Park. The photograph was taken from a daring angle, transforming the taut cables and geometric steel structure into an abstract and almost futuristic work of art. The lines inevitably draw the viewer upwards, creating a sense of height and dynamism in any space.

This observation tower, an architectural icon in the province of Limburg, normally offers sweeping views over the sand drifts and fens, but this piece focuses instead on the beauty of the structure itself. The contrast between the steel elements and the clear blue sky above creates a fresh and modern colour palette that fits perfectly into a contemporary interior.

Whether you opt for a print on aluminium Dibond to enhance the industrial look, or for seamless photo wallpaper to make an impressive statement; this image of Lommel’s pride and joy is an absolute eye-catcher. The fine details of the cables and the texture of the steel are also shown to their best advantage on metal or behind acrylic glass.
