Almost abstract it is, this detail shot of a spent hogweed with raindrop.
The lighting, as the low-lying sun shone on the dewdrops, created a beautiful bokeh and the "stripe effect", which makes the photo kind of abstract.
If you zoom in, you can see a flower reflected in the dewdrop. That's what makes this image extra special.
I made this image one morning during one of the last September days in 2022.
What a warm summer it had been and how happy I was that autumn had begun again. It is my absolute favorite season.
Since I like to use natural light in my photos and always play with it a bit, I am happy with the soft light during the autumn months.
The photo was taken at Werk aan het Spoel, Culemborg, Gelderland, an area that is part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie and a beautiful natural area for walking. And to photograph.
