About "ALMOST AT THE END"

About the artwork

Mixed media and collage on paper. This particular artwork is part of the Collages series. These collages are built up with all kinds of pictures, photos and images that I have collected over the years. I start an artwork with creating a surface by splashing or stamping with watercolor or acrylic paint. Some of the works are created by only arranging photographs in a certain way. Other collages are created with transferred images that are pulled loose or torn. Old and torn, outworn and weathered. Layer upon layer. On some of the collages I painted acrylic patterns or animals and figures. Most of the works are also worked over with ink, pencil, watercolor or ballpoint pen.

I remembered that as a young girl I so much liked to cut images from magazines to paste them into school agendas, scrapbooks and even on my bedroom door. Add to this the fascination I always had for walls filled with old posters, flaking paint, scrappy billboards.. Read more…

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
