Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘A young woman and an old piano’ by Vincent van Thom

A quiet room. An old piano. And a moment that defies all haste.

This photograph combines timeless elegance with a sensual, almost dreamlike visual language. At the centre sits a young woman with her back to the camera, in front of the instrument. The soft light traces the contours of her sheer dressing gown, lending the scene an intimate yet artistic atmosphere. Her bare body is not an end in itself, but rather part of a composition that plays on intimacy, beauty and a hint of mystery.

With both hands, she smooths her long, black hair. The movement appears casual yet deliberate – a fleeting moment between waking and becoming lost in thought. Before her stands the old piano, whose history seems almost tangible. Wood, light, skin and dark hair merge into an image full of contrasts.

This image tells no story with words. It leaves room for the imagination. For the question of who this woman is, what has brought her here, and what melody might soon be heard.

An extraordinary fine-art photograph for people who want to not only look at sensual photography, but feel it too. Classic aesthetics meet modern intimacy – understated, stylish and imbued with a mysterious tension.

A young woman and an old piano – an image of beauty, stillness and the magic of an unobserved moment.
