A timeless and atmospheric still life featuring a lantern plant and autumn fruit

by Studio Pieternel

● Exclusive design for Werk aan de Muur / Art Heroes

In this atmospheric and rustic still life, a distinctive turquoise ceramic vase takes centre stage on a well-worn, weathered wooden table.

The vase contains a gracefully branched twig of the Chinese lantern plant (Physalis alkekengi), with its familiar vibrant orange 'lampionnetjes'.

Next to the vase lie two ripe autumn fruits: a pear and an apple. The composition is set against a background with a linen and parchment texture in warm, muted earth tones, creating a deep and soothing atmosphere.

This exquisite piece combines the classic elegance of a floral still life with a rustic and weathered aesthetic. The harmonious interplay of the vibrant orange accents, the deep turquoise colour of the vase and the warm textures brings a sense of timeless beauty, tranquillity and comfort to the space].

The design fits perfectly within the popular Wabi-Sabi, Japandi and country-style interior trends, which centre on natural materials, imperfection and soothing colours.

It makes a stylish focal point above a sideboard, in an atmospheric dining room or in a tranquil workspace.

This artwork is available in almost any size, and there is a choice of many high-quality finishes, such as: Wallpaper, Canvas, ArtFrame, Aluminium, Acrylic glass and Photo print.
