A swallowtail butterfly amongst flowers against a blue-green background

by ManfredFotos

A swallowtail butterfly flies towards the white flowers of a ‘Seven Sons of Heaven’ shrub. The small butterfly hovers freely in the air, forming a lively contrast to the delicately branched inflorescences on the right-hand side of the picture. The plant bears numerous white flowers and pale buds, which sit on reddish twigs. Particularly striking is the soft blue-green background, which remains almost entirely free of discernible structures across a large area. This creates a sense of visual tranquillity and spatial depth. With its grey-brown body and orange-coloured wing sections, the butterfly stands out clearly against the cool colour field. The arrangement of the insect and the flowers creates a natural line of sight from left to right. As a wall hanging, the composition appears fresh, airy and, at the same time, modern. The combination of blue, green and white works particularly well in bright living spaces, minimalist interiors and rooms featuring natural materials. Thanks to the generous, calm background areas, the motif can also appear harmonious in larger formats. For garden lovers, butterfly enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates clearly composed nature photography, this image combines botanical details with the fascinating hovering flight of a hummingbird hawk-moth.
