A snow-covered dirt track in winter – a pasture fence under a blue sky

by Laura Georgi Tier- und Ladschaftsfotografie

A dirt track in the snow, running from the bottom edge of the picture towards the background and disappearing
between two fences. On the left, the crooked,
weathered posts of an old pasture fence stand close together, each topped with a small white cap;
on the right, a second fence runs alongside the track. Both reliably draw the eye
back towards the copse on the horizon, where bare trees and shrubs form a dark,
delicate line. Above it stretches a clear, cold winter sky, which transitions from
white-blue on the horizon to a deep blue higher up.

There are only a few tracks in the snow – a tyre track, a few footprints, otherwise
nothing. The light from the low winter sun, shining in from the side, casts long
shadows across the surface and reveals that the snow is not smooth,
but has been shaped by the wind into gentle waves. Here and there, ice crystals glisten
.

As a wall art piece, this motif is bright, calm and uncluttered. White, blue and the
warm brown of the fence posts create a clear, Scandinavian-inspired colour palette,
which blends into almost any interior and makes rooms appear more spacious – in the living room,
hallway, bedroom, dining room, office, in medical practices, waiting areas, hotels and
holiday homes. On acrylic glass, the snow and sky appear particularly clear and cool,
whilst on canvas or fine art paper they look warmer and softer.

A gift for winter lovers, walkers, country folk and anyone who
enjoys paths where you cannot yet see where they lead – and thus also
a fitting image for any new beginning.
