About ‘A playful close-up of a Cretan artichoke flower’ by Silva Wischeropp
The floral appeal of a close-up of an artichoke flower lies in the dramatic, geometric perfection of its leathery, scale-like bracts and the intense colour contrast with the delicate, bright violet tubular flowers inside.
The result is a fascinating interplay of strict symmetry and organic delicacy.
