First snow on the Vosges ridges. This morning I went out early to photograph the chamois. The visibility was very bad and I only see shadows that pass by before I have time to take a picture. Much later in the morning I find myself on another ridge, the light is stronger and the flakes sweep across the landscape. My eyes are drawn to a tree whose branches have been bent by the force of the wind and bleached by the snow. I decide to capture this image. I quietly set up my tripod and make my adjustments in silence. Suddenly, an apparition just a little further from the tree in question. A chamois has entered the scene. It stops for a moment to look towards the invisible valley, I click, then it continues its way quietly. An unforgettable moment.
