A long white streak moves right through large clouds of stars. Winding lines curl around each other. Millions of dots combine to form different color fields. Deep blue. Purple red. With the black of night in the background. Or the blackness of the universe, so far away you can't see it with the naked eye.
How did I get this picture? It may surprise you. The original photo is a very sharp image of the pearls left by the dew on a long thread woven by a spider. In the background of that photo you can vaguely see the outline of our walnut tree. So a nature photo, of spider web, of morning dew and a tree.
I was able to create this work of art using all kinds of digital techniques. The original nature photo on our globe now reflects the image far above us. I like that, the idea that the one, the earth, is connected to the other, the universe.
