The work depicts a close-up of a dandelion in its final stage of bloom. One lint leaves the flower and protrudes just above the ball of lint. The remaining fluff is still attached to the heart of the flower. The lint flower is still round in shape and is full of lint but is somewhat translucent. The flower was photographed with low key lighting (black background) and with a macro lens. A tripod was also used to get the sharpest possible image. Because of the low key technique, the emphasis is strongly on the entire subject. Actually, you get an inside look at the lint flower. Follow the seeds from the heart (center) to the almost caressable outer edge and study every detail.
