In the evening we walk on the Wekeromse sand in the Netherlands. The sun is slowly going down. It gives a diffused glow over the grass. In the foreground some sawn wood from the felled tree. The dead tree stands a little higher on a sand dune. It was once majestic, but has now had its life. The sparse clouds in the background break the sky. There is just a ray of light behind the tree. It has a calming effect on me. The brown-red tones give the photo some warmth. It makes the image more special. You could stare at it and let your mind go. What happened to that tree? What did he see?
