This photo: "A collection of shells (brown, beige and sandy-coloured) after a wave" is a macro photograph of a number of grey-brown shells that I found on the beach at Burgh Haamstede, Zeeland (Netherlands). Water has washed over these shells.
The colours in this photo feel very natural, mainly shades of brown (including taupe, beige and cream) and shades of grey. The water has made the shells wet, intensifying the colours. The shells all have a beautiful ribbed texture, which lends the photo a lovely, somewhat raw atmosphere. A tranquil still life that evokes a sense of the beach, the sea and holidays!
This piece would look stunning in various interior styles; think, for example, of a rustic style, but it would also stand out beautifully in an industrial interior thanks to the roughness of the shells. The focal point of the photo is the middle shell (the striped shell)
This piece would look wonderful as wall art in a holiday home (perhaps as wallpaper!) or in the bedroom, kitchen, hall, holiday cottage or simply above the sofa!
It also looks lovely in business settings, such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice space!
