About ‘A cold winter's day at the lake’ by Thomas Heins

On this frosty winter morning, I actually wanted to photograph the sunrise on the Hornisgrinde, but unfortunately it was very cloudy. At this point, I saw a picture of a photographer friend who was looking for a motif at the Schwarzbachtalsperre dam. I spontaneously joined him and we looked for motifs together. Thanks to his tips, I was able to take this picture. It beautifully reflects the vastness of the lake. Thanks to the sun shining in from the right, there is also a nice interplay of light and shadow.

But I soon realised that the possibilities with a mobile phone are limited. Shortly afterwards, I bought my first camera and from then on I got even more involved with photography.
