A breather in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is a minimalist seascape photo with as main ingredients peace, simplicity and a sense of timelessness. Made with a long shutter speed, I have brought the movement of the water to a complete standstill. This powerfully brings out the serene atmosphere of the moment.
In the foreground, the seaweed-covered breakwaters rise gently from the water. Due to the high tide, the groynes are almost completely under water, which further enhances the effect of stillness and simplicity. Only the upper parts are visible. As if they are floating in a light gray void. A bird has found its place on one of the two groynes at the back. The seagull gives the image a touch of life, without disturbing the peace.
There was a kind of stillness in the air, as if everything paused for a moment. The wind, time, even thoughts. By capturing this photo, I wanted to make the silence tangible and offer a moment of peace, a breather, in a world that is constantly in motion.
The landscape photo “A quiet respite in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen” is a photo that is all about subtlety and simplicity. A moment of pure tranquility in Zeeland.
Welcome.
Keywords that describe my work: peace, space, serenity, simplicity, minimalist and mostly soft colors.
An invitation to be still and to slow down. Not only to look, but above all to experience the peace, space and simplicity, in the middle of the busy world..
