Pictured is an Art Deco design control room of an old power plant in Romania. The century-old power plant was one of the most advanced of its kind at the beginning of the electric age. In the nearby town, mining activities were shut down. This had a negative impact on the city's economic situation. The power plant was built in the late 1800s. Eventually, the plant was discontinued in the 1960s because of the ageing techniques used. The plant has not been forgotten and has been added to a list of historical monuments. The aim is to revive the mining town in the form of a museum to attract tourists to the town.
