A Glimpse of the Mediterranean: Puglia by INGO

This painting depicts an iconic view through the historic stone arch bridge of Polignano a Mare, in the beautiful Italian region of Puglia. This Mediterranean artwork brings the warm, romantic atmosphere of Southern Europe into your home. It is based on a photograph from my own collection, which I took myself on location.
Using AI technology, this personal memory has been transformed into an atmospheric, modern-impressionist painting.
Image and atmosphere
‘Mediterranean View of Puglia’ depicts the world-famous Polignano a Mare on a crisp, magical Italian morning. Through a monumental stone arch, you look out over the iconic white houses rising from rugged limestone cliffs. The first golden rays of sunshine fall across the calm Adriatic Sea, enhancing the contrast with the deep blue and turquoise hues of the water.
The whitewashed houses on the steep cliffs of the Lama Monachile cove catch the warm morning light. The rugged limestone cliffs form a striking contrast with the clear, turquoise sea water that laps gently against the shore and ripples across the cove’s small beach.

This work is executed in an expressive, modern-impressionist style. With short, dynamic brushstrokes and a tactile texture, the play of Mediterranean light is masterfully captured. The coarse brushstrokes on the masonry of the arch in the foreground lend the work extra depth and an authentic, artisanal character. A timeless work of art that instantly adds a warm, sunny holiday atmosphere to any modern or rustic interior
