A Girl from Zeeland on the Beach in Zeeland

by Debbie van Eck

Zeeland Girl on the Beach in Zeeland
An atmospheric illustration of a Zeeland girl in traditional Walcherse costume, on the beach in Zeeland. The Zeeland girl was hand-drawn in ink and then digitally scanned, ensuring that the fine, characteristic lines are clearly visible.
The background features a picturesque, watercolour-style depiction of the Zeeland beach, the sea and a warm setting sun. The soft colours of the sky and water create a peaceful and romantic atmosphere, as if you were strolling along the Zeeland coast on a summer’s evening yourself. The image incorporates various typical elements of the Zeeland coast. Seagulls fly above the beach and a seal lies at the water’s edge. Together with the Zeeland girl in her traditional costume, this creates an atmospheric scene in which Zeeland’s regional culture and landscape come together.
The combination of the crisply drawn ink illustration and the soft, painterly watercolour background gives the artwork a distinctive and contemporary look.
An atmospheric wall decoration for lovers of Zeeland, the Zeeland coast, the beach, the sea and traditional costume. Perfect for the living room, bedroom, hall or a holiday home by the coast.
