I took this fine art photograph on a beautiful summer’s day at Dunnottar Castle, an impressive medieval castle ruin on Scotland’s rugged east coast. High above the North Sea, the ancient walls have withstood the elements for over a thousand years and still tell their own story. The castle played an important role in Scottish history and is now one of the country’s most iconic castles.
The stone arch forms a natural vista that creates depth and naturally draws the eye further afield. This makes this piece particularly suitable as wall art in a living room, hall, office, garden or conservatory, where it makes a space appear visually larger and exudes a sense of tranquillity.
