In its original form, this work is an acrylic painting on cotton canvas. It shows a fantasy fish, brought to life by 3D elements in the fish and bubbles. The fish is painted as if it were made of wood. That idea is weird on one side, but it makes you look at this fish with different eyes on the other side.
The inspiration comes from an Italian artist who makes these fish from real wood, but on a small scale (20-30 cm). This painting originally measures 120 by 80 cm.
The atmosphere is that of a fantasy world, it is meant to be a light-hearted painting with a positive impact. The fish smiles at you and is playfully designed with white dots and with a proportionally large eye, a smiling mouth and small fins.
This work fits on the wall in the living room as well as in a children's room, or in an organisation dealing with fish, or for example in a nursery as an amusing decoration on the wall.
