About the artwork

The digital artwork shows a stylised, nostalgic depiction of the "Stoomtram Medemblik" on a summer day. Above runs a thin strip of blue sky without clouds - clear, serene, and suggestive of a warm, windless afternoon. No people are visible; the scene exudes tranquillity and timelessness.

Below lie old, weathered rails, embedded in coarse gravel. They seem rarely used, but still carry the promise of movement and past. Just above, a stylised compartment of a historic, green steam tram can be seen. The roof is soft beige, slightly curved and contrasts with the darker green of the carriage.
