The digital artwork **"Glasswork"** shows a minimalist and carefully composed still-life arrangement. At the centre is an even green table that contrasts tightly with an equally even grey wall. At first glance, the scene looks simple, but on closer inspection, a subtle play of form, light and material unfolds.
On the table are two glass vases, each with its own shape and glass thickness, which refract and reflect light in different ways. Between the vases is a bracket bottle, recognisable by its white porcelain cap and the distinctive red rubber ring visible between cap and bottle. This small colour accent - the red rubber - forms a powerful visual contrast within the otherwise sober colour palette.
The reflections on the glass are not merely accidental: they are carefully rendered and form an important part of the work. They suggest a light source outside the picture, but also a depth and presence of space around the depicted. The reflections enhance the transparency and fragility of the glass and give the image an almost tangible quality.
"Glaswerk" plays with the contrast between the material and the immaterial: massive objects made of glass that seem almost intangible due to their transparency and reflection. The artwork invites stillness and attention to detail, raising questions about perception, simplicity and composition. Thus, an everyday scene is elevated to a poetic play of light and glass.
