About "163. All roads lead to Rome"

About the artwork

This digital artwork depicts an enchanting nocturnal landscape where silence and symbolism come together. Inspired by a lone column in Amelisweerd, the image forms a visual meditation on the phrase "All roads lead to Rome". Under a deep, starry sky, a bright yellow sandy path winds its way from the bottom left of the sculpture to the distant horizon. The path, mysteriously lit by an invisible moon, cuts through a vast, even dark-green lawn that extends on both sides, giving the scene a serene, almost timeless atmosphere.
Along the path are 12 columns, each with its own rhythm and orientation, as if guiding the journey. Their long, dark shadows fall sharply defined on the dirt path and grass, like traces of an invisible presence. One pillar is physically missing - only her shadow is visible - lending the work a subtle tension and enigma. Has she disappeared? Or never been present?
The starry sky above the scene reinforces the sense of directionlessness as well as destination. The work raises questions about journey and origin, about visibility and absence. Despite the absence of human figures, the artwork exudes a silent human presence, captured in columns, shadows and the path that - inevitably - leads somewhere. It is a digital dream in colour and contrast, in which light and dark, presence and emptiness, combine to form a poetic whole.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
