About studio flitsend
I’m Diana Driessen, a photographer at Studio Flitsend. In my day-to-day work, I mainly photograph people and businesses: portraits, photo reports, events and product photography. This kind of work often involves planning, adapting on the fly and managing time.
But for me, photography is still more than just my job. It’s also my hobby and something in which I like to keep challenging myself. Every now and then, I deliberately try something new, look at things differently and see what happens.
That’s how I ended up getting into macro photography.
And that’s precisely where something happens that I really enjoy. Suddenly, time ceases to matter. I can literally pause to consider something I might normally just walk right past. A shape, a structure, a tiny detail. The longer you look, the more you see.
In my photographs, I seek simplicity, tranquillity and structure. Sometimes you can tell straight away what it is, and sometimes you have to look a little longer. That’s precisely what I love about it.
If my work makes you pause for a moment, piques your curiosity or makes you think: ‘What am I actually seeing here?’, then for me, the photograph is a success.
