"A rising or setting sun with colour in the clouds, little wind with mist and dew, sunbeams which shine through the forest" are moments for me to photograph outdoors.
My name is Rudy Wagenaar. I started digital photography in the year 2000, taking photos with a compact camera, posting photos on self-made websites (back in the days when there was hardly any social media) and buying my first book with the question; "how to take better photos on the road".
Six years ago, I made the switch to digital system cameras. Currently, I take photos with a Full frame system camera i.c.w. several lenses. My favourite subjects to photograph are; landscapes, nature and occasionally portraits.
Over the past six years, I have become more engrossed in photography by reading more books (Scott Kelby's books are my favourite), following workshops and especially practising by going out in different weather conditions. Since then, I have been featured several times with a reader's photo in the Friesland Post and in National Geographic NL's 2020 tear-off calendar, see below. I can express my creativity in photography and find it a relaxing hobby. I want the photos to look as true to nature as possible.
