About Rhythm of Structures - Gereon Bargeman
I look at the world through the eyes of both an urban planner and an image-maker. Where others see a street, a building or a landscape, I am touched by rhythms and structures that interact with each other. The floor plan of a city, the repetition of windows in a façade, or a horizon that interweaves with a row of trees - everywhere I discover patterns that tell you more than what you see at first sight.
My fascination lies in those moments when different structures come together and create a new, unexpected image. It is a play of rhythm, contrast and harmony that I try to capture in my photographs. In this way, the everyday suddenly becomes something special: a visual composition that makes you stop and think for a moment.
With my photography, I invite you to look differently. To see beyond the obvious and discover the beauty hidden in patterns, repetitions and fractures. Every image I make is an ode to the rhythm of city and landscape - and an invitation to let the power of structures touch you.
