About René van den Berg

"Art is timeless, but the way we experience it is constantly evolving."
"My work bridges the gap between past and present, where tradition and technology merge."

Creativity in cooking and painting, a passion for materials, colors, and forms – a feast for the eyes and a delight for the senses. The urge to create is relentless and lies at the heart of my art.

René van den Berg (“RBERGSKY”) – straight from the heart.

About René van den Berg
René van den Berg (The Hague, 1964) is a contemporary digital artist who translates classical masterpieces into a modern visual language. With a background in drawing, painting, cooking, and digital media, he combines traditional techniques with innovative technologies. His work seeks the balance between the old masters and the digital world, where pixels and brushstrokes seamlessly blend.

A Timeless Fascination
Inspired from a young age by his father, Theo van den Berg, René’s passion for art grew into a deep appreciation for art history and the desire to reinterpret classical works.

Using digital techniques such as Photoshop, Procreate, AI, and 3D rendering, he transforms historical masterpieces. His style ranges from minimalist portraits to bold, realistic reconstructions where classical and digital art converge.

Digital art continues to evolve, but the artist remains in control of the final result – not AI. Technology is a tool, not a replacement.
