About Martijn Roes

I am Martijn Roes, a photographer from the Achterhoek region. My heart lies with music and motorsport. Two worlds full of energy, emotion and pure experience. From intimate concerts in dark clubs to legendary moments along the Nürburgring: I always look for the atmosphere and the real story behind the image.

My style is dreamy and melancholic, often with a raw edge. I love to capture moments that go beyond the perfect picture. Precisely images that take you back to a feeling, a memory or a dream.

What you see here is a mix of my passions: concert photos that capture the magic of live music, motorsport images in which speed and silence come together, and occasionally the tranquillity of the Achterhoek landscape. Each work tells a piece of my world, and I find it special that my images are given a place in an interior, where they go on to tell a new story.
