I am a self-taught photographer. Since childhood, I have been intrigued by art photography. Some time ago, I told one of my childhood friends, whom I hadn't seen in many years, "You know, in recent years I have been very involved with photography." I am a self-taught photographer. Since childhood, I have been intrigued by art photography. Some time ago, I told one of my childhood friends, whom I hadn't seen in many years, "You know, in recent years I have been very involved with photography." My friend laughed and replied, "Oh yes, you were always into photography. We always had to wait for you." It was then that I realized I had indeed always been engaged with photography in one way or another.
I draw inspiration from great photographers, classic paintings, poetry, and theater—especially ballet. My great passion lies in portraits. In recent years, I have been working with models, often photographing middle-aged individuals—not celebrities, but ordinary people from everyday life. These are individuals who grapple with contradictions and frustrations they are trying to overcome. Together with me, they search for answers to questions such as: What is humanity? What drives us? What do we want?
Finally, I am proud to announce that I won first place in the portrait competition "People of North Holland," organized by the Province of North Holland. My work is currently displayed at the Museum Amsterdam and will continue to be shown there starting July 24, with additional exhibitions planned for next year at the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem (NL).

What are the delivery times?
At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.
How will the package be sent?
We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.
Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.
A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.
Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.
Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
