Welcome to my colourful and creative world. Whilst many artists opt for a single, fixed style, I prefer to explore all sorts of directions. I simply find too many things beautiful and enjoyable to limit myself! One day I’m crouching with my macro lens, right up close to the tiniest flowers in nature; the next day I’m capturing a landscape; and the day after that I’m sitting at the kitchen table with my acrylic paints or behind my screen, illustrating. I don’t like a bare interior; the atmosphere has to be rustic and warm.
Although my techniques and materials are constantly changing, the essence always remains the same: my art must come alive. I absolutely love cheerful colours and warm tones. My aim, therefore, is that when you hang one of my pieces on your wall, a smile immediately appears on your face and your home gains that little bit of extra cosiness. I switch effortlessly between photography, painting and digital illustration, depending on what inspires me that day.
You won’t often find sombre, grey images in my work; I always go for atmosphere and positivity! Through my macro photography, I’ve learnt to look at the world differently – something I also incorporate into my paintings.
