I am an art-loving amateur photographer and painter. My gaze usually wanders upwards. It is there, where light, clouds and colours reinvent themselves every second, that I find my greatest inspiration. For me, the sky is nature’s ultimate work of art – sometimes soft in pastel, sometimes powerful in acrylic. In the landscapes of Upper Austria, where I lived for a time, the rolling hills, lakes and vast horizon shaped my photography. Even though I am in different places today, I carry the tranquillity and light forward into many of my works. The message behind the images:
Photography – The moment of stillness: "With my camera, I capture what is often overlooked: the brief glow of a sunset or the texture of a cloud. It is an invitation to pause briefly amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life."
Painting – Emotion in colour: "In acrylic and pastel, I translate what I see into feelings. Whilst photography preserves the moment, painting allows me to portray the energy and warmth of the light just as my heart has felt it."
Pastels – The Gentleness of Nature: "To me, pastels are like the light of early morning: soft, fleeting and full of hope. They are perfect for capturing the subtle nuances of the sky."
