I am a doctor by profession.
Photography began for me as a way to capture reality, but has developed into a quest for artistic expression. Where I started with pure documentation, I now prefer to explore the boundaries of abstraction.
My current work is characterised by a painterly, impressionistic approach, in which atmosphere and imagination are more important than an exact representation. As a counterpoint to these soft forms, I find aesthetics and tranquillity in the clean lines of minimalist architecture. Within fine art photography, I bring these two worlds together: the layering of impressionism and the power of minimalism.
