I only really started taking pictures when my boyfriend at the time gave me a Minolta for Christmas. At that time forty years ago still with film cartridges and analog, of course.
It was then diligently photographed, especially when it was exciting during the vacations. At the end of the vacations, we took a few full film cartridges to the photo store and paid a good amount of money for the printed photos, which were then piled up in cardboard boxes, or if things went well, in photo albums.
Ten years ago, history repeated itself, although the camera and the man were not the same....
I am very satisfied with my Olympus E-M5. It is handy and light and I can easily take it with me on my hikes, whether in Switzerland or now here in Mauritius, where I live since October 2021.
Here I am particularly fascinated by the ever-changing play of light, be it the blue-turquoise glittering sea, the lush green of the forests, the sometimes purple sky - and every day everything looks different. The light here is quite different from Europe, more intense and radiant, and that also helps to get photos more vivid and intense.
