pop art on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by hanif rakhman

Pop Art is an art movement that developed in the mid to late 20th century, especially in England and the United States. A characteristic feature of Pop Art is the use of elements of popular and commercial culture, including advertising, comics, and everyday objects. Pop Art artists attempted to bridge the gap between high art and mass culture, by elevating objects and images that were considered lowly into a valued art form. Some of the famous artists in this genre are Andy Warhol, who is famous for works such as Campbell's soup can serigraphy and portraits of Marilyn Monroe, and Roy Lichtenstein, who is known for his comics-inspired paintings. His visual style is often bright, bold and colorful, with the use of printing techniques creating a distinctive visual effect. Pop Art also reflects the social, political and economic developments of its time, as well as containing consumerism and the role of mass media in everyday life. This movement had a significant influence on contemporary art and continues to be a source of inspiration for many artists today.
