About ‘turning point’ by Alfred Eggensperger

Artists are often guided by their feelings. They also need ideas and intuition. At the moment, I have the impression that the world is becoming flat, the third dimension is dissolving, and the analogue is being replaced by the digital. Content is dissolving and the soul is disappearing in people. That frightens me. The portrait aims to show this state of affairs. A person, yes, male or female is not clear, a human being perhaps, but I am not giving up hope. The original is painted with oil paint on canvas, the background with acrylic and quartz sand.

During my study period I worked mainly in stone, sometimes in wood. Figural and abstract. I learned to transfer graphic designs and sculptural models into large sculptures. A process of spatial prehension and its execution.

This creative act and statements like: "you're never save from success!" (Original sound Prof. K.H.Türk) affected my studies at the academy of arts Nürtingen.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
