Walking on the grounds of a sawmill, my eye fell on the saw cut of a sizeable felled old tree. In the separately colored wood, interesting shapes can be discovered that were partly created by the influences of the weather. These kinds of shapes give a glimpse into the long life that such a large tree has had. A longer look reveals more and more figures that further stimulate the imagination. Compare it to contemplating Italian marble stone. But even as an abstract image, the image will continue to attract attention through shapes and color in both rectangular format and a self-selectable cutout for a square format on the wall.
