It took a long time until I could take usable pictures of northern lights. Until now, either the foreground was not suitable or the landscape in the picture was too dark or the picture quality was bad or everything together. On this Lofoten trip finally everything fit together, although the northern lights forecast was anything but good. This picture was taken on the very first evening - the lights came quite early, I was still on my way to the quarters and was surprised (as so often before) by the lights. Nevertheless, a quite passable foreground could be found in a hurry
