Echinacea also known as sunflower is a favorite flower in many gardens.
It is a typical flower of summer and its shape is somewhat similar to the daisy. The shape is also the reason they got their name, they look like little hats.
The sunflower is a delight to have in the garden. Even once they begin to wilt they are still pleasant to look at. The petals then begin to curl gracefully. From then on, it is not the color but the shape that is the focus. And even after the long cold winter, the last flower stems still exude a certain elegance.
That is why I have photographed a number of those stems. As a tribute to this beautiful flower. Next summer I will enjoy their full color splendor in the garden again.
