In summer you stumble over them.....
A whole garden full of snails, my vegetable garden was not safe this summer, everything had to be protected from the snails.
The pickle plants were full of those slimy snails in the morning, eaten tomato plants, strawberries with holes and so on.
But now, with the weather getting colder, they are so NOT to be found!!!
I had a picture in my head to which a snail belonged.
So with a container under my arm, I started looking for a nice snail.
That turned out to be quite a search, as the places where they normally gather in bunches were now deserted.
On my knees through the garden, nothing, nobody.......
But then finally at the very back of the garden, stuck to a fallen flower pot, I found a small snail that had not yet started its winter sleep!
How lucky!!!
And what was even better, during this search through the garden, I found this beautiful frog behind the shed.
So my picture just had to be adjusted, the chance to make something with such'a beautiful frog you don't get very often.
So snail and frog were allowed to pose together for a new work of art.
And even though snails can be very annoying in summer, I put this snail back on its'n fallen flowerpot.....
See you next summer!
