Shell on the beach of East Groningen. The water creates beautiful structures in the sandy beach. The late evening light emphasises this with long shadows. Vlieland is one of the Wadden Islands. Only 1,200 people live there and there is only one village. Otherwise, there is nature; forest, salt marsh, dunes, beach and of course the Vliehors. The Vliehors is the largest sand flat in Europe and is mainly used as a military training ground. No training takes place at weekends, when most of the area is freely accessible.
